MUSIK MILES FILMS: 30 Tahun Mendengar Terdengar
Our collaboration with MILES FILMS and Lokananta Bloc is still ongoing, and if you happen to be in Surakarta, do give the exhibition a visit.
Through research into the origins of Miles Films and the 30-year timeline of its journey, we translated its history into an immersive exhibition that brings together both analog and digital systems, inviting audiences to experience the archive through a kind of time machine.
At the heart of the exhibition is an exploration of sound and its role in shaping the world of film. From understanding how sound design builds atmosphere.. to discovering the process behind the sounds we often take for granted, we wanted to create a playful way of learning through interaction and gesture.
Inside MMF, audiences can listen to an archive of Miles Films' soundtracks, mix and match different film scores, record their own sessions as if they were the voices behind the soundtrack, step into the role of a foley artist, and explore how sound can transform the way we experience a film.
Rather than simply looking at the history of Miles Films, the exhibition invites audiences to listen, interact, experiment, and experience it for themselves.
