Design and Build
In collaboration with Ide Laju, Matra Consultant, and Arafura Media Design, .this/PLAY served as the interior designer for this temporary museum, working closely with our partners to create an immersive experience. The design draws inspiration from the dynamic curves of the Mandalika circuit, evoking the thrilling bends and excitement of its corners. The interior is crafted to maximize space utilization, enhance the visitor experience, and ensure ample room for movement.
The museum's two galleries are divided into three main sections: MotoGP, the Mandalika circuit, and Pertamina. MotoGP is the centerpiece of both Gallery A and Gallery B, offering visitors a cohesive and engaging narrative throughout.
The open layout ensures unobstructed views from every corner of both galleries, making optimal use of the available space. The walls are intentionally kept lower than the ceiling, while fixtures and furniture are strategically placed to provide a clear and comprehensive view of the exhibits. This meticulous design not only optimizes spatial efficiency but also allows visitors to fully immerse themselves in the museum's offerings.
